Adding signs on your tracks

Postby Skeleton » Fri Jun 25, 2010 6:57 pm

I've seen a few people mention this so here's a tutorial for adding signs. First here's an image showing all blocks that can have signs added to them (fig 1)

fig 1

Since trackmania doesn't have a big choice of signs more can be download from http://specials.mania-creative.com/index_signpack.php and http://tmnforever.tm-exchange.com/?action=tracksigns
Sign packs from tmx you can place the zipped file into Documents\TrackMania and unzip, this will place them into the right place which is Documents\TrackMania\Skins\Any\Advertisement. Sign packs from tm creative need to be unzipped into Documents\TrackMania\Skins\Any\Advertisement. All signs from these place include locators so they will show to others.

Now lets add a sign to our track. Once you got a track and some sign blocks (fig 1) click on paint bucket (fig 2) and all blocks that are allowed signs will be show in a blue box (fig 2)

fig 2

Click on the block you want to add a sign to and you will then get this screen. (fig 3) Find the sign you want to add and click on it. It will become highlighted and press OK.

fig 3

You will now see you have a sign on your track (fig 4)

Hope some of you find this tutorial useful, Any questions please ask.
